BIG CITY THUNDER MONSTER BAFFLES, my friend!!!! they make my 06 train LOUD!!! and it sounds better than no baffles. they pretty much clean up the sound, bring back the back pressure loss and low end loss, but keep it LOUD....also go get yourself a powercommander usbIII.... find a dyno tuning center near you, and get her tuned up.... thats what i did last friday...and the tuned cost like 135$. i also have a D&M custom filter, but it gave me nice straight power lines on the chart, and im at 79.31 hp and 81.42 for the torque, which i think is better than what you 96cu i has stock!!! could be wrong tho i guess
I don't think there is any room for baffles. Yes you do loose power from the short pipes but I don't think its noticable. For maximum power get the bike dyno tuned. They will get the most power possible.
I have the Fourbiddens. And YES they do have a baffle. I ran it both ways, and believe me, I couldn't tell the difference......so, I just left it in. It gave me the low end I was missing when I had the Yaffe X-pipes on, and I am totally happy with it!
Sounds great, nice idle sound, fits perfect, and looks good too!
As a matter of fact, they did scrpae the ground once. If you have a lowered bike, you may want to keep an eye out for that. What I did afterwards was to loosen it all up, and readjust it so that the bracket was at it's highest point, and so far, so good!
I am investing in a air ride system, so that will help in that area in the future....but for stockers, you shouldn't scrape at all.
