Question 2001 Softail tail/ brake light
I recently replaced my tail/ brake light bulb with a new one, now the tail lamp operates fine but no brake lamp..so I replaced new bulb with another new bulb..still the same, tail lamp works but no brake lamp?? Any help would be greatly appreciated..

I would check the wires to the socket. Also check that there is no corrosion inside the socket. check the connector at the taillight.

Check to make sure you got a dual filament bulb, and didn't get handed the wrong one on accident.

Everything they said above plus be sure to use dielectric grease in sockets. The wires are really exposed in the back end and no matter how they try to weatherproof them they still get damp and corrode.
