is there any known problems with overheating or trans noise on 07 models? i am about to buy and want to make sure.

Other that the most recent recall I haven’t had any problems with mine. But if you get yours now the recall might already be fixed. It isa great bike it is my first Harley and I couldn’t behappier with it

Mine runs great. I put synthetic oil and a fuel pak when I changed my pipes and doesn't run too hot anymore

The Softails don't have any transmission noise, other then a whine in 5th gear. The 2007 models run hotter then previous years,due to them being set leaner, to satisfy the EPA requirements. Most owners have their air/fuel ratiore-mapped so the engine runs richer.

Man, this thread confirms what I've known all along. All FAT BOY OWNERS are WISE,WE made the right choice. JOIN US. LOL. The '07 is sweet.
