Don't get offended.
You'll find most on this forum speak their minds some of us more so than others.
It's hard to communicate effectively over a forum without sometimes the words taking on more meaning than intended.

But most are here to assist, recommend or offer unsolicited comments.

If you're not riding it then trailer it is the best method of getting it there.

Good Decision -- much safer, and a small U-Haul trailer is cheap.

Each to their own but, 600 miles is just a nice distance. I don't know the weather conditions or your circumstances but to me it would be a good opportunity to get out and on it.

600 miles to get to the meet-up start point of the ride, then at least another 1000 miles riding the bike with the group. Thought that using the cradle for part of the ride to meet-up would be the way to go, but, according to feedback, its not a good idea..

Since the opinion is not to a cradle the bike, can I convert my trailer to a to carry it? If so, what is the best way to go about it?

Thanks..

I'd say 4 tie down points and a ramp to get it in there would take care of it.

You should have some tie down anchors on the trailer, if not buy some eye bolts and large washers which you can mount in the bottom of the trailer by simply drilling holes in the floor in each corner. I would also suggest some soft tie down loops for the bike so you don't scratch or rub anything on the bike with a ratchet strap. Also install a front wheel chock

All is easy to install and once you are loaded check the bike after about 10 miles form the initial trailering then about every couple of hours since you cant see it in the trailer.

PS: Dont forget to find a secure spot for your trailer at your rendezvous point with other bikers. Call ahead and find somewhere secure like a campground, paid parking lot, a buddy's driveway, etc...

Exclamation

Check your lights on your trailer, don't need a ticket for some thing like that or the harassment

Grease the bearings on your trailer. You don't need a hub to weld itself to a bearing in the middle of your trip.
