Default handlebars

i took an allen wrench and pushed my bars forward and re-tightened.

Can anyone tell me if there is any proper torque involved or needed, or can i just hand tight be fine?

Well the service manual for 2014 softails says 12-15 ft-lbs.

Snug the bolts lightly back to front. Torque rear to spec (as mentioned above) and then torque front to spec. This is done to seat the rear on the top clamp spacer and leave the gap in front.
Not a crucial torque spec, usually one of those areas where you just need to make sure it's tight without stripping the threads. I have went as high as 25 ft/lbs with apes to prevent slip.
