Just wanted to throw this out there for anyone running apes. I am in process of relocating my signals back to the bars, also did a riser change. The RSD four bolt nostalgia risers are rock solid and they grab the bars great. Torqued clamp to high side of spec (15 ft/lbs) and they feel like they are pinned, absolutely no slip. Highly recommended.
It's a two stage process called black ops, . Not exactly sure of the coating but it is tough as nails. I accidentally dropped on of the risers and it hit my concrete shop floor. Figured it was chipped for sure, no chip on the riser but it left an chip on the floor.
Well, if it's like my RSD air cleaner I'd keep an eye on it if you park in the sun much. Starts to fade to a purplish tint after a bit. Not too noticable, depending on the light, but I figure I'll probably end up having it stripped and powder coated at some point.

Good to know. I will put a bit of liquid ice wax on it to filter out the UV rays. That's what I do to my black ops fork brace.

Didn't realize that was a thing until it happened to my Todd's Cycle mirrors (RSD intake has so far survived this issue). I like the mirrors, so I'll probably do the same as you and get them powder coated at some point. Annoying, especially considering the cost.
Looks nice, RSD makes me nervous lately with the issues with the clarity covers people are posting. I went with Wild 1 apes and risers and could not be happier, they are locked down.
