Default Dyna vs Softail Clutch

I have a 06 Street Bob 88ci 6 speed with 17000 miles and just bought a 03 Fat Boy 88ci 5 speed with 2000 miles. The clutch on the SB is slick but the FB clutch is stiff. Can anyone tell me if the FB will loosen up with a few miles? Is there an adjustment I am missing?

13 year old bike with 2000 miles sounds like the service was completely neglected.

I would remove the cable, clean, lube and replace and adjust. Would also check the throttle cables, and do a complete service of the bike from the front wheel to the rear.

Thanks for the replies. I put about 200 miles on it and everything else is like new. I thought maybe the spring in the clutch was a lot stronger or something. First thing I checked was the cable routing and its OK. I will lube the cable next. Maybe it's dry. Appreciate the help!

Harley make an Easy Clutch or Clutch Wizard, can't remember which is HD and which is aftermarket. But they work great.

Adjust the cutch pack, lube the cable and adjust it. What are you comfortable with? Factory adjustment or a tweaked one?

06 dynas have the ez clutch ramp setup from the factory. 06 and earlier softail didn't my 04 train clutch was stiff compared 2 my buddies 08 glide and his dad's 06 dyna. Burly easyboy lite clutch took care of that. Changes the fulcrum angle of the ramp pull.
