Hi guys I was tightening my bottom caliper bolt but , it just spins like it's been stripped. I was using a torque wrench and not even close to maximum torque
Ok upon further notification, this little bit came off the scre2, looks like some one inserted a helicoil that in the the caliper bracket that came off? Right?
This happened when you push the brake lever, the piston move the caliper out and you after try tightening the caliper bolt.
First fit the caliper in the caliper mount/fork, after press the brake lever to adapt the brake pads into the brake disc.

Huh? Why would anyone hit the brake lever while the caliper wasnt fastened?
Lemme guess, you did, now you're speculating?
EDIT: Forgot to add, OP, me thnx ya should do as suggested and replace that caliper. Looks like someone screwed the threads up. I would inspect the entire setup at that point, see what else he did to the mounting.

I am not sure 100% with the springer calipers, but with the normal softails brakes, if you fit the caliper, push brake levers/pedal and the caliper open a lot of, after you can´t tightening perfectly the bolts and you can broke the thread of the caliper mount. Compress the caliper with the pression of the bolts, can broke the thread of the bolts/and the piece where fit the bolt.
First tightening caliper bolts to caliper mount, and after press the brake/pedal to adapt the brake to disc brake.
I don't think it goes into the mounting bracket. I think the guide pin screws right into the other side of the caliper
Why don't you spend two minutes of your time and take the caliper off. Then you will be able to see if the bottom bolt (guide Pin) screws into the caliper or the mounting bracket as shown in the part finder. Blow up the part finder diagram and you can see the threaded area for the guide pin in the mounting bracket.
I took the caliper off a dozen times this week I just put back on, so you are saying I am wrong? I will double check.. To be very honest I am not the best person reading the diagrams.. I did blow it up and it's hard for me to understand..
