Removing Tank Badges

Removing Tank Badges

Today I removed the tank badges by using a heat gun and a plastic pry bar.

I have some cleanup to dio because not all of the adhesive came off the tank. Can anyone tell me what works best to get the remaining adhesive? Thanks in advance.

I used Goo Gone, saturate the adhesive and gently removed the bulk with a plastic putty blade. Wash cloth and Goo Gone to remove the rest. Clean it with a lil soapy water, wipe clean, and wax. Most I've done this way were older scoots and the adhesive had dried out. Little time consuming, just take your time.

WD40 works well. I used to use goo gone and that sort of product, but honestly the WD40 works as well if not better. Just let it soak and be patient and gentle.

Got it cleaned up tonite. I couldn't find my Goo Gone and I'm out of WD-40. I couldn't find Goo Gone so i purchased Goof Off and it worked great. Thanks for the help.
