Default 16 Heritage seats

Any idea why Mustang one piece Wide Studded Touring seat (76047) will not fit a new Heritage. Called the factory, girl said Harley changed something on the frame and new models would be out by June. They now list a wide studded solo that is 1 inch narrower that will work with most of their pillions but no shipping dates yet. I bought the one piece last fall for an '11 Heritage I had just purchased but traded in for a new Teal & White in December and was told it would not work by Mustang. I am afraid to bolt it on and try it for the reason that it may be a clearance issue on the ECM or wires that I can't see once it is mounted. Anyone mount up an old one ? Thanks for any info. Wife hates stock pillion.

Change the Heritage pillion for one from a Fatboy, and see how much better you feel in the meantime.

Call the dealer and ask.

If that doesn't work; go to the dealer and get a demo seat for a 2015 then compare it to what's on your bike.

We've been using the same baseplate for all the standard-tire Softails since 2000. We've weathered slight changes in the bikes, but the 2016 FLSTC had enough small changes that we needed to revisit them. There are little differences in the tank and frame that are way too picky to go into here, but now we offer a set of 16" wide solos for the FLSTC 2016.
