You may find helpful information in these threads

Changing transmission fluid with Shotgun shock

You only need to remove the two front bolts holding the Shotgun and it will pivot down giving you access to the transmission drain plug.

I just did my first oil change with the Shotgun Shock (SS) and it is not as easy as everybody makes it sound.

When you put a floor jack under the bike, it needs to be centered. What that means it the 2 front bolts on the SS will be blocked by the jack.

If you move the jack over, the bike will not be balanced and there is also a supporting cross bar on the jack to make it impossible for the SS to swing down.

In the end, I used a floor jack (lifting), K&L shop dolly (holding) and 2 center stand jacks (under tires) to keep the motorcycle level.

That sounds somehow artistic...

Any time I need to access the SS, I just jack the bike up (using a Sears Red), then I place a concrete block with a 4x4 block of wood on each side of the jack - then just lower the jack and pull it out... Total access.

When I had to drain the tranny to change the clutch cable I placed the jack as far as possible to front and supported the rear tire with a big cooking pot thet I just flipped upside down. Then removed the SS and drained the tranny. Worked for me.

Every one of these solutions (except the liquivac maybe?) seems like too much work just to change fluid.

I don't have a SS yet but I will at some point. I'm thinking why couldn't you find a petcock that would thread into the drain hole on the transmission and when it's time to drain it, slip your hand in there with a section of hose to push onto the petcock and then open it to drain through the hose into a catch pan? Sort of like the oil tank drain down on the frame. Seems to me that would solve the whole issue. Surely a radiator petcock would work. Once I get a SS I will play with this idea more after seeing how much space is there to work with. Might could even build a 90 degree petcock if space is that limited to push a hose on it.
