At the bar?
Mine's (2014 FLS) been causing me issues as of late by not cycling. Have to on/off it till it catches. Was gonna replace it, but might try cleaning it instead. Thnx!
Been in Garage, removed my Gas Tank, going to look at my all my Connections and my wires to see if I can see anything, hoping to see something before I get to Oil Tank, dont even want to pull that off.
If not a. Wire problem I'd start looking at sensors crank, vss, cam sensor and even the tsm behind the oil tank. Come to think of it the cam sensor can act funny with heat when its failing. But I wouldn't think it
Would affect the speedo though. But it could be the vss sensor. I believe its directly in the circuit to the speedo witch could affect ignition. I'd take that out and clean it and see if that helps.
Thanks Brother I need all the help I can get. Going to call it a day, put my tank back on, all Connectors and wires looked good. The one thing was when I unpluged Connection to Ign. Switch the 3 prongs were alittle corroded, so I sanded them down and cleaned. Ill be at it again first thing in the morning, will let you know whats happening, Thanks Again.
Similar but also different problem with my 2010 SE Street Glide. Just posted my problems. Everything I've read leads me to the VSS (Speed Sensor). Does your cut out while riding and clutch in? Speedometer intermittent then goes out? What about your turn singles? do they auto off after turning? All these things point to VSS and computer does not pick it up as a DTC. Just a thought.
Its 2000 Heritage Softail, No EFI, it is Carburated, No Sensors, there pretty basic bikes which is why I like it, there pretty much nothing I havent replaced on it, but this one is a pita. Talked with Mechanic at independent shop today and he said if I changed Vol Reg then start tracing
Wires and Checking the Connectors. Still puzzels why it run great until it get to Max Riding Temp.
When my ignition switch started to fail it was occurring predominantly when it was hot out. But same stuff, engine died, all gauges de-powered. Maybe because it's sitting in direct sunlight...dunno what to tell you.
