Finally got the tour pak wired for brakes and signals. Turned out much easier than I anticipated. All quick release. When the pak comes off, I just swap out the harness connections!

All of the big things are officially done. Power swaps easily better fever lights and tour pak lights. And set up to be disassembled in about 5 minutes with no tools required. Did have to redesign the tour pak mount because the connecting points were to spaced and caused a small shake on the pot holes. Now it's all stable. Stoked!

Nice job on the modifications. But Yeah, looks like the worst of both worlds. Thinking you could have made a huge dent in the price of bagger with $ invested in the BO touring machine transformation.

Bags and the tour pak were free. Only cost was sorting through my mount designs and cutting it and a few hardware pieces that were dirt cheap on eBay. And paint. I did all my own cuts on a plasma cutter and burned through maybe 5 sheets of steel before it was right. So probably 800$ spent total.... Possibly pushing a thousand over the past year. Cheaper than a bagger and I still have my breakout underneath one I'm at the destination.

So a grand$ and your time. Glad you enjoy it. Fun to create stuff nobody else has. Just have to say have done some longer distance stuff on the BO with a passenger and it was pretty painful. Short 2-3 hour stuff with rest breaks built in are doable for sure. Long XC stuff not even considered, bikes just too small and cramped.

I think it's a great mod for what you need/want! Easy to take of I suppose?

I've done a few cross country runs on my breakout with little hiccups. But certainly not with the wife. This will make our camping trips in state easier for sure.
