Would just the saddle bags on both sides installed on both sides not been enough storage space? Or maybe it was done like this because more comfort for the passenger?
Ooops just looked at pics again....no passenger seat. Be careful man that looks like it may have caused a significant change to the motorcycles center of gravity.

Passenger seat will be there. This was just a mockup to see how our all lined up. Still waiting on some final parts from hd to bolt the bags on. From a quick release perspective, the bags alone would have been complicated if I wanted it clean. Also the tp wss my original goal. Someone threw in the bags for free so challenge wss accepted.
Some said it couldn't happen. Most said it shouldn't happen. But god d@mnit I have some extra luggage options for the long hauls with the fun bike for when I get there. So far road worthy, completely convertible on the fly, and no issues as of yet. Now I just need to paint the bracket.
Seems like a lot of weight up high and far behind the bike. I would be concerned with stability.
Instead, get a quick detach sissy bar and small luggage rack and a t-bag or something similar.
+1. I took my 2013 Breakout over 5000 miles over 3-4 weeks and it performed admirably! Detach luggage rack with Tbag on the rack and another one resting on the passenger seat, attached to the rear bag with plastic ties. Easy, and once at the destination I could ride around town without any bags, just as God intended! BTW, when logging that kind of miles, having the right bar and seat configuration really helps. Put the Harley mini-z bars on and it fits like a glove...but I'm only 5'6" so your mileage may vary.
