Congrats on the new ride! Curious on the difference in power. I'm going to assume you had a stage 1 on your old bike. Big difference from stage 1 88" to stock 103?
Good looking bike! I'd like to move into a newer year, but that's not doable right now..
Just a suggestion. If you didn't get them with the bike, I suggest you look into a set of bag stiffeners while the bags have their shape and are soft. You'll appreciate the upgrade in the future..
Thanks. I did have PapaBags on my 2006 and they worked well. It is my understanding that in 2016 with the new bags, it includes the stiffeners to avoid the saggy bags.

It was hard making the choice to move away from my 2006. I normally keep things forever and was thinking of turning it into a project bike. However, in my case, the realities of daily life at home and work crept in and if I wanted to do any riding this year, this was one way to go. Hopefully after I "make it mine" it will feel like an old shoe after awhile.

I did have the Stage 1 on the 88". In my short time with it and not in the hills, I can tell there is a noticeable difference in increased power. I am really liking the 6th speed already. My biggest complaint with the 88" was in hills and mountains, loaded up with luggage and a passenger...it seemed like I was the guy holding up traffic despite going full throttle!

I was about an hour from pulling the trigger on the exact same 2016 Heritage then a little voice said "sleep on it".
After I got home the Wife and I moved out to our "us" cave for a few beers and to discuss the purchase.
After a 12 pack we both came to the conclusion that after many years of work and over $9000 of add-ons we finally have our 2009 Heritage the way we want it and since it's all paid for why get rid of it?
I called the dealer the next morning and told them we were putting the purchase on hold.
I do love the 2016, but after thinking about not nearly has much as I love my 2009 "Renee".
That being said, if I had the 88ci and the 5 speed, I think I would likely upgrade to the 2016.
Along with the bigger motor and tranny, plus the ABS and cruise, the upgrade from a 2006 seems much more reasonable.
