Help removing my grips
I'm going to attempt to install the heated grips this evening, but was curious. How is the left grip generally install on the harley's. It was clear so I wasn't sure my approach for removing it.
Any tips/advice ?

On newer bikes they are held on with the switch housing.
On older bikes (pre 2000 I believe)they are forced or glued on and just a really tight fit.

On my sportster and Dyna all I ever did was grip it with both hand and squeeze and twist Counter Clockwise then rock mit clockwise till it breaks loose. Comes off In like 10 Secs.

if you have a air compressor, you can get a air blower and blow compressed air under the grip between the grip and handlebars while pulling on the grip. the air will break the glue loose and it will slide off.. good luck. kerry
