Piece of cake. Open up the right switch housing and slide the old grip off, slide new grip on the splines of the TBW and then reinstall switch housing. On theclutch sid egrip you may have to cut it off and scrape the old glue residue off and the line up the left grip with the right one and reinstall swich housing there also. Depending on whose grips you use you may have to add some grip glue to the left grip. If so I normally squirt some of it down the sides of the grip and then push it on, set it where you need it and then let it dry for a while. Make sure the grips you buy are for the 08 TBW system. Good luck.

Dont forget to put a small piece of cardboard in the front brake handle to keep it closed a little. Otherwise you might damage the little switch in the housing on the right side. Just read the directions that come with the HD grips, if that is what you are replacing the old ones with. I just did it last week for the first time on my 08 and it is a piece of cake. As stated before, make sure your grips are for an 08 with TBW.

Instead of glue, I've always had success using dish soap. I forget where I first heard that but my I've always replaced my stock grips and they have never loosened up. Over 60K on the last pair and about to install ISO grips on my '07 the same way.

the 08's are so easy to change its not funny, just losen the switch housings and pull them off and slap the new ones on.....just make sure the throttle by wire set in place on your grip, you can see the splines in the new grip..
