My buddy has the T-Bag and he had both of our stuff in it for the ride down to MB from NC. I hunted high and low for someone selling T-Bags down there and came up empty after two days of searching....thought I'd be able to find a better price on them down there. Go figure....I'll buy one online, I'm sold. [sm=signs007.gif]

I'm sold on the T-bag but I need a quick on-off for riding 2-up. The bag can't ride on the passenger pillion because my wife will be there. I'm thinking a rack from CoolSac would work but I'm worried the thing will just bounce off. It looks like it just sits on the sissy bar backrest the same way the window trays do from drive-ins. No way to secure it without a heavy load on top of it.

cougarmike,

That rack from CoolSac looks like it is held in place by gravity and weight from whatever is on it. Any issues with it bouncing or popping loose? I like the idea of a quick release rack but don't want it to "quick release" without permission. Do you have the plastic or aluminum one? If you have the plastic one, is it sturdy?

I use a Universal Expandable T-Bag with a rack from CoolSac. The rack slips on the the sissy bar and lifts right off when I take the bag off. That way I don't have to have a rack bolted on.

Thanks for all the input guys! I think I am going for the Lonestar bag, seems the be well featured, and lined with foam, and has a rigid bottom. My Fatboy bags are not very big, and gotta' gain some storage as Lanconia Bike Week is nearing!!!

I too have been looking at the Lonestar bag and you can get a pretty sweet deal on it through Zanotti's by putting in the drag specialties aftermarket number. Something like 178 dollars i do belive.

I've used the CoolSac for 1000's of miles and in won't come off. The t-Bag is snug over the sissy bar and it straps on low to the bar. I have the plastic one and it is a little bent from too much weight. The only issue is with the T-bag sagging and making the license plate hard to see for the cops (no ticket yet!) One bungee cord and that was solved.

I just got back from an overnight trip on my FXSTC. I put it on the sissy bar with the bag sitting on the rear seat. The four straps on the bag work very well to lash it down tight. First time I used it and it worked very well.

Another happy T-bag owner, but I have the T-bag Pet bag. Very nice bag, and 100% secure. Since we have been traveling in our 40 foot motorhome for a about 3 years new, when we go on a little trip, we can't just leave our little 9 pound friend (Malti-Poo) home. So, she jumps in the T-bag made for pets, and has the best seat in the house. In fact, on every trip (even the short ones for dinner out), people pull up beside us onmulti-lane roadsand take pictures. I just know it's because of the Heritage....uh...yea.

For longer trips, I havea flat expandable airplane carryon bag that goes under the T-bag and expands to about 5 inches thick. This is big enough for both rain suits and all of our toiletries, and the T-bag sits very well on top of the little expandable bag.

We are taking a little 1400 mile trip over Memorial Day to Blue Rigde Parkway, Deal's Gap, and anything else that looks like fun, and have plenty of room for both my wife and I for one whole change of cloths...each.

I got the Stowaway T-Bag it mounts on a sissy bar and expands when ya need to haul more stuff. They do sell fender mounted bags if you're opposed to installing a sissy bar
