Hey guys , I've got a Harley Springer front end off of a 1996 FXSTS - has the front caliper with it . From what I can see the axle on the 1996's and the 2002's both have 3/4" bearings / axle .

My question is , is there any reason a front wheel off of a 2002 Fxsts Springer wouldn't work on a 1996 Fxsts front , as long as the 1996 also has a 3/4 axle ??

The wheel is 21" x 3 .

Swapping the front on my 2007 FXST .....

Should all work, only differences might be hub offset, and spaces, even if that's the case it'd be little work to make it bolt up

 

thanks - are spacers readily available - maybe at the dealer ??

 

Ronnies parts finder lists same number 43672-00 16" for both years.
