Just a quick stupid quesiton on getting the reflectors off of the rear fender on my 2004 Std. What can I use to get the glue off from the double sided tape as to not screw up the paint? Thanx

I use mineral spirits or Goo-gone (sp). Lighter fluid or WD-40 will work also.

I used a tar and bug spot remover, then washed both front and rear areas down immediately i was fiished just tobe on hte safe side. That with a bit of effort got the adhesive of the front forks, but i found the rear adhesive was just easier to peel off if it was heated.

I'm in the same boat.. Front reflectors just needed a little Sticker and Label Remover, and the backs just a little elbow grease.

I just removed mine finally last week. GooGone worked awesome. Put it on and let it set for a bit... then it wiped off with very little work.

I just used a heat gun and it peeled right off. I peeled the remaining tape off with my fingers and it was almost spotless.

Hair Dryer and then Goo Gone and the first couple layers of skin rubbed off my thumbs.
