Question FUELPAK 3 vs PC

I typically install Power Commander's in my past bikes when performing a Stage 1 and have the bike Dyno'ed but here recently I was talking with the company that Dynoed my last bike (Sportster 48-1200) and they told me of the New Fuelpak 3 from Vance and Hines, he went on to say they are extremely good and save trying to hide the onboard PC .

I understand that the Fuelpak once used has to stay with the bike verses the PC can be removed and reused on another but other than that, has anyone used the Fuelpak 3 and how satisfied are you with it? Also, if anyone has used both the FP3 & PC what are the pro's and cons between the two other than re-usability?

Bought my wife an 883 this spring and decided to try it (fp3) mainly due to its simplistic application and reviews.
The auto tune program rewuires a bit of triel and error, but the unit does live up to its promis.
Best part... Take it off when done using it

I have had the PC 3 and 5 and now the fp3.i think each one will tune the average bike as good as you would want it unless you need that last bit of hp or torque.i bought the fp3 for my 2016 heritage since I could tune it with the iPhone and flash the tune to the Ecm and put it back on the shelf.it also has lots of features you may or may not need so I would buy the one that has what you need as far as features.

I am using the Power Vision with A/T pro. I have had it on two bikes and is easy to use and allows you to play with your tune. As with the FP3, it gets married to your bike.

With that said, I have installed the FP3 on 3 bikes. It is easy to setup, easy to program and V & H can connect with it to help you trouble shoot. You can even leave it connected and view gauges and monitor other values through your phone while riding.

I do recommend purchasing it from Fuel Moto, their service and support is second to none.

I've used the PC5, SEPRT, and just bought the FP3.

The PC5 was great. Came with the right map installed and then had it dyno'ed. Bike ran trouble free for 35,000 miles.

The SERT pro race tuner. Had it dyno'ed twice to get it close.

FP3. Bought it. Downloaded the map for an all stock 16 touring. Loaded that and what a difference. Immediate. Did 2 auto tune runs. One 50 miles. One 100 miles. Loaded that and changed the throttle response to Standard Plus. And that made it even better. Like a whole new bike. I'd highly suggest this. I like opening up an app and seeing all my data. When I add a 2-1. Download a map. Flash it. Auto tune it and be done. Change the air cleaner do the same. And I'm not handcuffed to the dealer or a dyno. As far as bang for your buck upgrades. So far this one for me takes the cake.

You will love it.

Good info here. Didn't know there was a way to adjust throttle response.
After a very long and widly populated cell root autotune session on my wifes 883, bike ran like an chitha chasin prey.
Only downfall's been takin off from a stand still.
Unless I raise my rpm's, the bike would back fire and buck till it reached a considerable operating rpm range.
Gonna give it a try. Thanks!

I am running the FP3 on my 2011 Heritage. Like others have said, it is very user friendly. Hook it up, download the map and flash the ECM. Once you have flashed the ECM you can remove the tuner or leave it installed and explore the many features available within the app (it's the easiest to hide of all the tuners). You can download the app and play around with it in demo mode before you buy also. One of my favorite features about the FP3 is that you can read and clear diagnostic codes using the app. While the FP3 may be married to a single bike, the tuner can be hooked upto a friends bike and used to read and clear diagnostic codes. V&H hit a home run with this tuner IMHO.

Glad it helped. Hope it fixed your issue. Please post back your results.
Is this always? My bike did that when I was in auto tune mode. I read that is normal but only when running auto tune. As soon as I finalized and loaded it was gone.

Only in auto tune here. Spoke with V&H to confirm this.
