Get a Cruise-Mate, it replaces the thumb screw and works a hell of lot better. the tension can be adjusted on it and it can be overridden in emergency situations. Simple install and function, just flip it on and off with your thumb...

Cruise control is possible aftermarket, but not a pretty fix and I'm not entirely sure they have one that fits all models. The change between 2015 and 16 is the fly by wire system. I'm sure the CC is a nice upgrade, but I like having the capacity to change my bars a little easier/cheaper than going fbw. So a stock harley CC won't work on your bike.
Or.. if you're really up for it, make your bike Throttle by Wire like the CVO. I have integrated everything and waiting to get back home to flash a new ECM to the bike. There is a good bit to make it work, but end results would be exactly what you saw on the CVO. I have a thread started with Throttle by wire that I will update once I have the bike running in a few weeks.
Costs:
Do it yourself with used parts from ebay / discount online HD parts site, you're gonna be in the $1000 range. This includes all the sensors, terminals, hardware and plugs necessary.
(Get ready to change your ECM, Speedometer, throttle body, injectors, cut your right handlebar and change to the proper connectors for the hardware.)
Pros:
50mm throttle body
Clean up the handlebars (no more throttle cables)
Larger injectors
Cruise control
Cons:
The cost to do it.
Your VIN on the new ECM will not match the bike. (Need to flash the new ECM with a 2016 breakout VIN / calibration. You might need to change your cams as well because the 2016 uses 254E cams)
If you have a tuner, you will need to buy another one if it marries to the ECM. (V&H hooked me up with a brand new unit. I sent my FP3 in with documentation stating a new ECM was installed on the bike.) Excellent customer service!!
Ideally, if you do this and have a stock engine, it would be worth it to do all the engine upgrades at this time as well (Cams / tuner etc..)
If you let the dealer do it, it will be very costly. Probably $3000+
