Default Breakout paint suggestions

Hi guys. Not long until i pull my breakout apart for a make over.

Currently have a set of burleigh bars, rsd grips/pegs/levers, arlen ness mirrors, victory led headlight, full wrap front fender, blackline dash and race tech front suspension (already shotgunned.the rear).

Seat is going for retrim and fender struts, triple trees and various parts are going to be painted 2pac gloss black.

Problem is im at a loss for what colour i want the tins painted. Bike is currently vivid black but has a bit of wear and tear and scratches etc. I really like the full blacked out look but in Australia here every man and his dog have gone the full blackout look.

So all engine parts and accessories are going to be blacked out but was thinking of going pearl white or even black with some form of pinstriping or race stripes, but the blackline dash sort of breaks the tank up. I would really like to have a sleek sporty look.

Please help.

Thanks

Paint it Copperhead Pearl which is one of the colors used on a Jeep Erangler in 2014. I am partial to that color, as I have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited that is copperhead pearl. I believe the paint code is PLB.

Use these badges on the tank.

You definitely have the right idea Liam. The Breakout is meant to be seen. Although they look good in black, bright paintwork makes them really stand out. With the blacked out motor and other bits, a bright color will be even more attractive.

Given a choice, I wouldn't go with a HD color they have great colors, but someone else will have it.

The white is nice.
Bright hot rod colors would look good too.

Personally, I like secondary colors that lean heavily in one of their primary elements.

Look how the front color orange is almost gold from the heavier yellow content. Then, look how the upper door has a heavy red influence.

The same here, but green with a heavy yellow influence.

You can take the same orange and move it toward the red side, or the same green with a lot of blue instead Of yellow.

I noticed that.
You posted while I was drafting my post.

Chrysler has had some really good colors in the last 10 years. They had an orange in 08/09 that was cool, plus a couple of nice greens and golds.

I'm partial to blues because they go well with black, chrome, or both!

Only reason I'm not upgrading to a '16 breakout is because of my color. Only way I would is if they let me swap tins. Absolutely love the Morocco Gold Pearl.

Post a picture of the bike when you can. Some of us are handy with Photoshop with regard to paint schemes.

Pretty close to going with a blackline paint job on the tank. Similar to this pic

Here with a white and black theme. Would look good with a red stripe breaking the black and white up
