Default Backrest for 2012 Heritage
The backrest has a hex piece that is setting in a plastic iced that constantly breaks. This part is well over a hundred dollars to replace the pad. Why can't Harley make it better. A metal bar needs to be in place of this pastic part so it will not crack the first time a passenger uses it to assist them getting on the bike. Does anyone know how to fix this instead of buying s new one. Thanks..

I know understand what part you are referring to that breaks? How about a pic?

go to a metal working shop and have them make you something to replace it...
