Aftermarket Derby cover
I just bought an arlen ness derby cover that get delievered today & went to dealership 2 get a new gasket. Parts guy said the aftermarket 1's take a different gasket, he thinks? Anybody run into this? Stock or aftermarket gasket? THANKS

Some derby covers take a gasket, some an o-ring. If it needs an o-ring it will most likely come with the cover. If it takes a gasket you can most likely use the stock style (solid), we generally use the James gaskets that have a silicone bead around them (open in the middle) because they tend to leak less. Try the stock one first. Hell, if yours in is good shape clean it up and reuse it, they can be used many times before needing replacement generally.

+1 on Reusing it. I generally reuse that gasket and the inspection cover gasket 2 times (whether it's a fluid change or derby cover change) before replacing it. Wipe it clean, check for tears or nicks, how pliable the gasket feels and slap it back on.
