My bike is my daily and I do a lot of night riding. I've upgraded my headlight to the Truck-Lite already, but it is only awesome on high beam. The low beam leaves a bit to be desired, and I don't enjoy blinding every other person on the road. So I'm thinking I should look into some driving lights. I have many many many lights that I like and am not too concerned about which to buy. I'm here because I don't know how the heck to mount them.
I like the headwinds bar, but it seems like the lights are mounted much too close to the headlight and I wouldn't be able to fit anything besides a tiny 2" light on there. http://www.headwinds.com/mm5/merchan...Category_Code=
I've also seen a lot of guys mount lights on their forward controls. I like the look and I think light output would be perfect, but I don't want to put anything decent down that low to the ground. I'm really afraid they'd get tore off by a honey bee let alone a rock or pot hole.
I'm open to any and all suggestions, and please please please post up pictures of your driving lights. I've read so many threads that say "this is great!" But have no pictures.
I've also been wanting to clean up my bars and move the turn signals to the forks. I looked into the Heritage style bars but they are waaaaaay too expensive. Any aftermarket support here? I couldn't find much besides fork clamps.
Hi Andy I have a set of passing lamps (like the FLs) for sale if you want them. Their genuine H-D? They were installed on my custom when I bought it. Dave

Those look pretty good actually, I'll send you a PM.
True, I've thought about both of those options. I think I might be more inclined to to mount some lights on the frame near the forward controls. In doing some more research this week, I remembered I have inverted forks, which I think might be 52mm, and not too many clamps are made for them.
I've swapped my Truck-Lite out for a JW Speaker. It is immensely better on low beam / high beam. However there still is not much side coverage. This would be nice for night rides in the middle of nowhere.
Anyone know of some good 52mm fork clamps to fit my inverted forks? Chrome would be prefered. I've searched google / amazon for some but have not found much. This is the best I've found and I'm not much of a fan: https://amzn.com/B000GTVDJM
I have an aftermarket LED headlight that is awesome on high beam but left a dark spot on low. Got some DK Stealth driving lights and mounted them on my footboard brackets. It took a bit of adjustment but now they are just right to fill in the dark spot without blinding oncoming traffic. The DK Stealth lights are pretty bright considering how small they are.
