Default Headache electrical

So I figured out the alarm issue while riding. Now my bike is blowing the security fuse in my fuse box. As soon as I put a new fuse in it blows. Any idea on where to start? Also is there anyway to override the security system so I can at least get the bike home. Right now it is in my jobs warehouse. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Gooch

I had to go over to your other post to figure what else was going on. What fixed it over there? A new battery? Are you talking about the 2 AMP fuse?

I put a new battery to the bike and also replaced the 9v battery in the siren. I had the old battery load tested and was junk. I bought the bike used and had not put a battery to it so figured check that first. Also while I was at it I replaced the 9v battery in the siren module. Now I rode it to work on Tuesday and as soon as I pulled into work my check engine light came on and when I shut it down I had nothing. Turn the ignition on and fuel pump runs all the standard lights show up but nothing when you hit the start button. So I pulled seat and started checking fuses. That's how I found the security 15 amp fuse was blown. I keep a few extras in the fuse block and it popped them as well. Almost at wits end on this damn electrical issues.

You sure it's a security fuse. Think you are reading the label incorrect for what fuse that goes to. Double check and get back.. Mine is only 2 amp. In mean time, check your battery connection. May be loose since you just put new battery in. Mine get's loose all the time.

Go to the control panel in the forum and edit the signature to your year, model and letter designation will post at bottom of your post like mine in my first post.

If the fuse blows, you must have a short circuit. It doesn;t pop by it self. As you changed the 9v battery in the security siren, perhaps look there first?

The best thing you can do is order an Electrical Diagnostic Manual for your bike. It will be more involved than the Service Manual.
