Default Battery Removal & TSSM Fuse?

I have a flat battery on my 2008 Crossbones so like my previous Harley and wifes Dyna I start to take of the battery but can't switch of the alarm I have checked my Clymer manual which states on most page to disarm the TSSM/HFSM after reading through it I found a section that say to remove the TSSM fuse before removing the battery put doesn't seem to say where this fuse is I have checked the normal fuse box and tried removing fuses but still no luck

It does say to remove the rear splash guard and disconnect the TSSM unit but this seems a bit drastic just to remove a battery

I have previously just been used to the double click of the key fob but these new hands free options has got me stuck if I take the battery off without removing the fuse how long will the bikes siren keep going for

I would be grateful if someone can give me some tips on how to stop it going off?

Is the battery in your FOB good?...withe fob present, I see no reason why the alarm will not disable so you can yank the battery out.

I had checked the fob and one the spare key and both are good Clymer manual states that if you try and pull the battery out or tamper with the maxi fuse the alarm will sound as it's a anti tamper device

I have now sorted it by pulling the System Relay first and then took the battery out which stopped the alarm from coming on

Just hope when it goes back on it's not wiped any codes on the security system and over rides the bike and wont let it start again

Or the joys of having no electric in the garage so I can't trickle charge it through the winter

I think if you turn the ignition on (with the fob present), then pull the Maxi fuse, the alarm won't sound.
