I noticed in the new images for the 2017 softails including the Slim that the exhaust seems to have been altered but there is no mention in any press or reviews.
The new image seems to have a kick up in the bottom pipe just behind the floorboard and a connecting pipe between the two headers just before the rear collectors.
Anyone have any knowledge?
Looking to pick up anew Slim this model year
Exhaust on the slim should be the same . No changes have been made to the softail line as far as engine is concerned for 2017...touring line no pre 2017 exhaust will fit or is legal yet

Seemed strange no one mentioned it. All the review pictures show a kicked up pipe with connecting tube. Wondering if it was a press bike with non standard pipes.
I've linked a picture from Harley site
Dunno why they've done that - not a huge change, but the line of the pipes isn't as clean as before and they look like the silencers then sit higher than the '16 and earlier models meaning less clearance for saddlebags too.
The '16 and earlier bikes did have that crossover piece though - it's just it was black powder coated so you didn't really notice it.

If they're using the FatBoy headers they maybe standardised the mounting behind for the mufflers? Used to be different between the Fatboy and the Slim.
