2010 fatboy lo slip on mufflers
i have the 2010 fatboy lo with rush slip on mufflers.on the muffler bracket there are 4 little bolts one snap off will i be all right if i do not replace the bolt i called harley they told me they woild have to drill it to replace it ????

You'll probably be okay. Especially if it's the one for the top muffler (since leans on the top of the bracket, it has to work less against gravity). I have to put my stock exhaust back on every 2 years for emissions inspections and since those bolts are a pain to reach, I only install one for each muffler. But, in my case, they are only on for a day or so before I take them off again. I would just be sure to inspect it regularly to be sure the remaining bolt it hasn't worked loose...

Don't the bolts go thru the bracket and screw into the muffler? Take off the muffler and you may get it out fairly easy. Replace the bolts and use never-seize.

thank you for info. i will let harley do it when i bought the bike they put the slip on mufflers on for me. fatboy mufflers are the worst then any softtail model lol
