Fender and spacers help please
Hi everyone! First time HDforum poster here. First time HD owner also.
I purchased a well used 2000 FXSTB. It came with no front fender. I purchased a fender online for $10 bucks. Now..I don't think it's the same fender as the OEM fender for this model. So I don't know which spacer to buy. A well renown parts seller online told me I'd have to make custom brackets because the fender I purchased was for a wide glide. However when I look the fender up it says it fits my year model FXSTB. When holding the fender over the tire, the fender brackets and the mounts on the forks line up perfectly. There's just a large gap between the two.
I'll try to upload photos of a similar fender that was purchased.
