Default 2004 HD Fatboy

I have A 2004 Fatboy that when ever I shift gears either up or down the shifter gets stuck in that position. I have to push it back down to continue shifting up and pull it back up when I shift down. I am hoping it is a easy fix. Help please!

You probably have a gummed up shift pivot. I had the same issue on my 2005 Deluxe, it is a quick and easy fix to remove, clean, and lube the pivot bolt and bushings.
