I would push them to 10,000 mile . And if you live close to me I would tell you to leave your old tires next to my garage doors . And I would be selling them a swap meets for 25 buck each .

Went from Lops to Comander II's, like the Commanders much more. Soon as these are gone though I'm going to the darkside, probably Michelin Alpines. My indy won't mount a car tire though so I'll have to do some research on that one.

When I switched to a Commander II from Dunlop on the rear handling was much better. Have an Avon on the front and love the feel of it also. Wished CII's came in white wall though.

I only got 5k out of the Dlops and about 6 out of commander 11's. I've went to American Elites on my Crossbones and like them best so far but don't have a milage max on them yet. They are still looking good at 4k though.

Narrowing it down tentatively to Commander IIs or sticking with the Dunlops. This thread has been very helpful thus far.

I would be very interested in comments focused on the handling differences between the Commander IIs and Dunlops. I am understanding that the C-IIs will give somewhat longer life.

Incidentally, my riding style is very conservative. No risky high speed turns or whatnot. I do like to ride on the freeway at 70-80 MPH occasionally though. This is Southern California.

About to change rear tire on my 2008 Fatboy. Dunlop American Elite rear tire has 9,600 miles and still could go another 700 - 800 safely. Front tire has the same mileage and can go much longer.

Neighbor has Michelin and likes them.
