Default A little rich?

Okay, here we go again, people telling me I shouldn't be working on my bike etc. Question: I get this Frankenstein bike, I love it but it was not finished. I got the elect working but now the plugs look a little on the black/rich side. My other bike "Yamaha Warrior" has maps that can be loaded via USB to the Fuel Management Sys. Does this Night Train have the same capabilities? Or without buying anything is there a way to bump the lean button on the ECU up a notch or two or will it self adjust it's self again? Thanks in advance, I promise not more stupid questions, LOL

Eek. Change the title of your thread! You may or may not get taxed on it!

If it has the delphi FI (softails in 2001 & touring in 2002), you can get a tuner and flash tune or adjust the tune to your hearts content......

I use the powervision tuner, through Fuelmoto. That way you get lifetime support (maps) from Fuelmoto and dynojet. If you ever switch bikes or add one to the stable, just $199 for a license fee and you can add it to your tuner...

Good luck...

Oh great, another $200! haha. Is there anyway you can bump the ECU?

You can buy piggy-back devices that basically fool the ECM to adjust the AFR. They are cheaper than the flash tuners, which actually rewrite the tune in the ECM...

Pretty odd that a EFI bike is running rich without having a tuner on it of some sort. 99.9% of them run lean.
If you're gonna keep the bike for some time, I suggest the tuner as noted above.

Since you are building a "Frankenstein bike", then it may be in your best interest to go with a Thundermax ECM instead of the stock.

I am able to do anything to the engine (air filter, exhaust, cams, bigger displacement...) and it doesn't have to go back on the dyno because there isn't a pre-made map available. In fact, I actually went from a 107" to 124" (only the cases were reused) and the Thundermax handled all the changes like nothing changed.

Okay, so you guys are saying if I change the exhaust or take out baffles, etc, the ecu will adjust automatically? You don't have to download a new map?
