Make sure the bulb is fully seated in the socket, it is possible to have it half ****-eyed. Does the rear flash normally or fast?
I put them on recently and each t/s has 3 leads.. one black, one purple one blue.. i hooked em all up to the 6point connector right under the gas tank..
with the blue ones connected ..the left lamp would stay on, but would blink.. (a little different than your prob) but I thought If I said something about the blue wire youd figure it out if you put them on yourself
The blue wire is for the running lights. The purple is the brighter signal lead and the black is the ground. Is the light on the dash lighting? I'm not sure what would cause it not to work properly. Mine does it occationaly and intermitently but does work.
I finished relocating the t/s and putting on the Nacelle as well as the passing lamps. After completing the wiring(didn't use the 6 connector) All lights came on and flashed but I noticed the right signal was dimmer so I moved the left bulb to the right and vice versa on the left. Worked okay but turning on the bike later, the left was off and I would tweek the bulb and it would come back on. I think I rubbed of some of the dielectric get and it is not making good contact. It is memorial day so I can't get the gel or new bulbs to check if that is the problem.
Vertigo, thanks a mil for your help.

right on Kiddoc, even tho this is a different post than the on you started on. Just gotta say moving the gas tank back 2-3 inches isnt that hard to get to the 6 pin connector.
1. remove seat
2. pull the fuel fuse (15)
3. purge the fuel pressure...by trying to start the bike with the starter
4. unbolt the gas tank
5. un-do the quick disconnect fuel/tank line (might be a bit of fuel spill from the line) just have a towel or two ready..nothing major tho
6. slide the gas tank back a few inches (might have to losen the top console first tho
thats it, and u can get at that 6 point connector for the T/S
wonder if the oringal poster figured out whats wrong with their t/s lamps..
