So have you had trouble with your other bikes, or just that one?

Maybe it is a hit-and-miss kind of a thing.

I have a 12 Heritage and have had the voltage regulator replaced twice all under warranty. Had two rear spoke wheels go bad in less than 2500 miles. Got the wheels of my choice free from moco. Mine was on the recall list for the voltage regulator. Got about 34000 miles on her now. All my troubles were in the first six months. Been smooth rolling ever since. You do have a sweet looking heritage. This is my second heritage, zero problems with the first. I love my Heritage.

Thanks. I went with the Drag Specialties voltage regulator. I figured that hopefully gets me out of the HD "supplier" bucket, they have their own rep to maintain, and there was some marketspeak they mentioned about being entirely solid state (not having a relay which could fail), that may or may not be true.

I really like the bike, so I'll probably just try and stay optimistic. But I don't really have much patience left for it.

Yes I do but it's hanging on the wall in my shop at the moment. I changed to a Bassani 2-1 but I don't like it as well as The D&D Fatcat. Eventually going back to the D&D...
