My Slim has an HD Daymaker on it. It was on it when I bought it.

I liked it so much, I negotiated one onto my wife's 48 when I bought it a week later. One of the best decisions I made.

(I bought them both used from the same dealer)

The HD Daymaker is remarkably better than the stock headlight. I put one on my Fat Boy and it really really lights up the road at night.

Yup, that ballast definitely isn't gonna fit, you'll have to find a place nearby on the frame to mount it. The heatsink on the light itself could be a problem as well.
In fact, I wouldn't even bother. Take it back to him if you can.
Get one of these:

I have the Rigid headlight as well as 2 hi/lo D2 cubes mounted and triggered by the hi/low beams on a 5 pin relay. Great lighting, but not an inexpensive setup -

I just bought one of these. For the price I figured I'd give it a try.

That price suggests that it is China-made. As the headlight really is a crucial security device I would not buy the cheapest one available.

The price guarantees that it's China made...lol My biggest concern is that it's only 45w.. can't tell whether that's high or low beam or both?

Chinese lights can be ok... if you don't ride in the dark. Or the wet.

Looking forward to hearing a review after he receives the light.
