So going by your "open forum" rules: You Sir, are an ****!
I wear a modular and I don't care what others think. I love riding my FLSS, but would like to take utmost safety precaution too. It's just BS that you wouldn't enjoy the sound if you wear a full face. Actually on long rides, it helps reduce the stress on your ears.

Was that even English? I could eat a can of alphabit soup, take a dump, and still spell out a more sensible post than that drivel.
I'm in CT and no helmet law here. When I ride my sport bike I'll always wear my full face. On my HD's sometimes I'll go without sometimes I'll wear a full face. On my ride to New Orleans on Oct I wore a full face the entire time. The Sena bluetooth was great for directions as well as to talk with my nephew who rode his sporty down with me. My half shell now is strictly used for when I want to go without a helmet but might ride into NY or MASS that require helmets.
We have no helmet laws here in Illinois. I must admit, I often ride with no helmet. I have to say, long rides on the highway at 65+ mph, is a lot of wind noise. On my bikes with no windshield, I'd be deaf for 12 hours after long fast rides. Too much wind noise. I wear a full face Shoei when it's cold or plan on riding far on highway or rain is in the forecast. I really like the full face but in the summer, it's sooo hot! I can't handle it when it's hot and humid. I love the FF cutting down wind noise and keeping crap from hitting me in the face.
That's kind of what I've been doing. When riding to work or on the highway for very far I strap on the FF. Around town errands I tend to not wear one at all. Maybe I'll get a 1/2 for that portion.
