Happy Holidays everyone. I'm new to the board but not new to the brand. I own a 2007 Electra Glide and most recently I scored a sweet deal on a 2001 Softail.
And thats at a where the problem lies at the moment. I got it home and promptly tore into it to see what the PO had done before I got to doing my own thing. It has a Revtech DFO on it (not familiar with that at all) and had this awful chrome intake with the ********* hanging off each side. I am getting this cough out of the throttle body and then the idle goes haywire until it sputters and dies. When I took the intake off there was no gasket between the bracket and throttle body or bracket and intake. I'm assuming this might be the culprit. I also noticed the IAC was blacker than a lying, cheating, stealing woman's heart so I cleaned that with some qtips and alcohol. I won't be running this until Thursday when my new, less awful looking intake arrives.
For now, here is the video of what it is doing.
