I picked up a 2011 103 topend today for $350 with 19,000 miles. He bought the tire shredder kit so he sold the old stuff. Included heads less ACRs, pushrods lifters cams cylinders and pistons. Cylinders look in great condition wear wise. The cams lifters and pushrods for obvious reasons I'm not using. I have a new set of SE-204s what is needed to bolt this on or should I do a freshining up?? My bike is a 09 fxstc
If the engine runs well I wouldn't do anything else than installing the SE-204 cams with the other parts I mentioned.
If you want to improve a little bit more the engine on multiple aspects you can install the SE Cam Plate that matches the oil pump (there's a kit). It's also possible to fit a slightly bigger throttle body, 50mm instead of 46mm and CNC Ported Heads to have the engine breathing and performing better.
Obviously a ECM map upgrade it's necessary to have cams working properly...
