No wobble in my 07 when I am cruising down the motorway.... (not I didn't say freeway as we have to pay to use most of the roads in Sydney).... Having said that... new wheels are next on my shopping list anyway.... the solid wheel is a real pain when it gets windy.

I've had spokes and I've had solids. There is no difference at all in cross winds.
Try to blow air through a spoke wheel that's turning 70MPH. It might as well be solid.
You are right, lighter wheels handle better.

Also, you can't compare wheels to wheels on different bikes like Finalcut suggests. The differences have to be mitigated with the exact same tire.

I've even had two different techs tell me that the new 2007s have holes in their solid whell to help eleiminate the problem I'm talking about - as well as several of the sales guysat the shop - but maybe that's all in my head to?????
Maybe, but probably in your tech's head...
Just because they work for a dealer fixing motorcycles doesn't mean that have any smarts...[sm=confused06.gif]
The fatboys have been equipped with solid wheels for quite some time before these magical little holes solved all of their problems..
The holes are for looks...

Yeah the holes on the 07 fatboy wheels are for looks, they are 50cal bullet holes...
I feel cross winds across my solid(50cal) wheels all the time, I dunno if a 3 "spoke" or so Mag wheel would help that, couldn't hurt tho

Still thinking on bars and wheels

went into dealer yesterday to pick up a ...sigh.. Chrome Backplate(SE) for my new air cleaner cover..that cast one looked fugly
and the chrome guy showed me his 18s Apes on Vrod hehe not bad at all (powder coated black) oh yeah what I wanted to say...
he had a pair of 50cal fatboy wheels for me..to take home.. for 553 each(mounted as well)...all chromed and ready.. had to decline...
still tryn to decide :P then I need PM calipers :P lol or the hog ones...or HD ones..
