I have a 2003 Heritage, and my clutch is HARD to pull in, versus other Heritage's I have tried. These other bikes DID NOT have the hydraulic cluth kit installed either. Anyone know of any ways to "lighten" the amount of energy it takes to pull the clutch handle in? I do not want to have to spend the like $700 on the chrome hyd. clutch kit. Thanks guys!
Awesome news, I was just going to tough it out and build up the hand muscles. How much should I expect to pay for this to be installed, parts and labor?
First, Lube up the cable with some oil. Make sure it gets in there. Work the clutch back and forth a few times. It sounds minor, but makes a HUGE difference.
Second. Go to your stealership and order the EZ clutch kit. All '06 and '07 bikes have them from the factory. Pull the clutch on a new bike in the showroom. You'll see how easy it is.
The kit was around $100. I did it myself, so I can't speak to the labor cost. It was easy to install, so I would hope the dealer can do it in an hour or less.
Just called the "Stealership", and they want roughly $100.00 for labor, ontop of the $45.00 price of the parts. I guessI will try to find that MRC Clutch kit. Where did you purchase it from Dave? They donot sell them from the site. Thanks for the info guys!

They have a list of dealerships that stock it on their web site. Mine had a few on hand.
The HD Reduced Effort Clutch Kit (p/n 36808-05) is more than just the ramp and ball. It includes anew clutchspring. This kit is what is stock on '06 and '07 models. I installed one on my '03 Low Rider and it took about an hour. I don't think your dealer is too far out of line with the labor charge. It would certainly be worth it to me. Compare your Heritage and an '06 or '07 and you'll see what you get for your money.
