Default handle bar help

I currently have 1 1/2 risers with my standard handlebar on my 06 heritage classic, they helped a bit with height but I dont like the look of the set up. Any one change up the bars to something higher than stock that doesn't require chable changes..will 12 inch bars work?

That's a tough one because many aftermarket bars have different pull backs and width. Even if your cables might work, you'll have to add wire extensions. I wish I had a more exact answer for you, but all custom builders go through the same 'try it and see' routine. Personally, I'd swap out the cables and brake line when doing the job. It's more $$, but you only do it once. Have fun, Enjoy!

The rule of thumb when it comes to changing bars is: 2". MOST of the time you can get away with running bars that are two inches taller than your stock bars without having to change any cables or wires. This means you could probably get away with running 10-11" (if your bars are 8")bars with stock cables and wires.
