"See all the Smoke? That means that spray stuff is cleanin real good"
Yep - kinda like that. Just with less sarcasm.
Most of the smoke is just the seafoam burning off. That's known well enough. But I've seen boroscope before and afters that show some definite deposit cleaning. And, I was hoping someone else had done a TB fog with seafoam and could tell me how it went. It's going to be cool this weekend so I guess I'll give it a go.
Warmed up the bike and sprayed half of the can right in through the TB while holding the idle up.... started sputtering after a while but just kept spraying as the smoke began.
Then I let go of the throttle and kept spraying until she died. Let it sit for about 30 minutes, put the AC back on and fired the bike back up. Smoked like crazy (actually helped me find a loose exhaust clamp) and when the smoking stopped it hopped on and did some "spirited" riding to clear the rest of it out. I want to say it seemed to have a smoother rev through the band. But, it may have just been me.
I didn't have a scope, but shined a flashlight down the intake before the treatment and it was pretty nasty before the treatment and looked much cleaner after. I can't speak for the inside, but I can say that at least at this time it doesn't seem to have done any harm.
