Some great points, i did spit out my tea when i looked at how much the air suspension is.
Some of you mentioned lowering kits by 1.5in and not affecting ride quality and at the cost i saw for dead creek and it can be reversed it looks a good option to try before making a significant investment in air ride.
It is just a shame the dead creek don't do one for the FXBB from my searches.
Anyway as the UK heads into another lockdown I will have plenety of research time before making a decision.
This is my 2016 softail Slim. Lowered the rear fender an inch (not quite a full inch, otherwise the old hole would start to show bellow the strut) by drilling 4 new
strut mounting holes.. And a half inch via suspension.
This way it looks and rides good.

this might be something to report on in detail in the softail cheap modification thread! Sounds pretty clever and cost effective.
