I replaced Reaper's (2005 Night Train) speedo with a Harley Speedo/Tach combo. I really like it a lot! If you're not set on an original, it would be something worth looking into, IMHO.
I have an early fxstb night train and am looking for a speedo as the original is not working any longer. Any ideas?
Knowing the year might help with responses.
I recently replaced my stock speedometer with a used unit. I could not find a method to transfer the mileage to the new unit. So I have documented the mismatch for future reference. I understand the real mileage is recorded in the ECM and the dealer can retrieve it.
If you go with the new speedometer/RPM unit there is a connection cable that pulls the data from the ECM and will permanently mate the unit to your bike after approximately 30 miles. I assume other after market units are similar.

Just wondering what model # yours is so I could get the same one. Also the leather pocket thing you have on the second pic
Under the ignition button what is that called I would like to get him one those too. Thanks so much.
