Default Trans pulley change
I'm gonna be replacing the trans pulley with a 30 T. Is there a definitive need to remove the oil tank? Because according to the manual a TON of stuff needs to be removed including the rear fender?

I did not remove the oil tank or fender. Removing the rear wheel makes it easier though. You can unbolt the oil tank and move it out of the way enough to get to the starter bolt.

i dont know for sure but wouldnt a shorter belt be needed? there may be enough space on the rear tire adjustment to take up the extra slack but i am curious as well

Depends where he is in the adjuster now. I had a 70 on the rear with the stock belt, right at the end of adjustment. Now with the 30 up front I have plenty of adjustment either way with the stock belt.

Rear wheel is off getting tire replaced.
