My wife has a new '07 Deluxe (FLSTN). She's after more running/tail lights in the rear. I have the Kuryakyn LED's on my Road King and get amber turn signals and red tail and brake lights out of all three of thelights (the Panacea scheme). She likes the idea of amber turn signals. That kind ofeliminates the Harley conversion kit of the amberturnsignals intored running lights andred turn signals. Kuryakyn does not make the Panacea conversion for the Deluxe.
Anybody have a solution to provide additional running and brake lights for the Deluxe and provide for an amber turn signal? LED's?
We put a couple of bullet type of lights by the license plate for her. It gives a couple of additional lights. With the "Back Off" controller to flash the brake light, she seems to be satisfied.
Wife had the same request on her Deluxe. We came up with a LED license plate frame, all chrome, with lights all around. Red on top and bottom for brakes and running, Amber on sides for turns. These things really throw a TON of light. I can see her turns or brakes at over a half mile down the road with ease. They can nearly blind you if you are too close, Any cage that doesn't see these, Is legally BLIND and shouldn't be driving.
That plate frame is o.k., if your plate fits.. I live in the only jurisdiction with a plate the size it is. I had to trim it to fit in a large plate frame. I would be interested in pics of RobV 's set up.
Check out the following link in the Softail Deluxe picture threads: https://www.hdforums.com/fb.asp?m=3002300 It shows the LED tombstone array that Luxe describes in his reply to you. I got it as well, and also added some LED turn signal bulbs. Really lights up the back end. I also got the brake/run/turn signal module from HD that includes red filters on the turn signals. I think it's a lot brighter than all the stock lighting.
