I have had this bike for 10 years and I think the whole wind and solid wheel thing is BS.
I also have a spoke wheel bike and if its windy they both get blown around.

Bad idea? Realy? Thats how you set the offset of a wheel!
Make sure the belt has enough space to move out on the secondary drive with the new sprocket spacer, otherwise it needs to "bend" and it is not designed to do that.
You can also think about a 20mm belt (if you not already have that size), it is 5mm narrower than a 1" belt.
good to know, I got it spaced 1/8 over and it's super close to my tire but looks like I'll need a new belt soon anyways so I might look into that
