I have a 2016 heritage. The stock mufflers have the catalytic converter in each muffler. I did'nt check pipes when I had apart. I just got a new unused 2009 softail exhaust system from a softail. The mufflers do not have the catalytic converter in them or does the exhaust pipes. I can put a cable straight thru them. My question is does the 2016 pipes have the catalytic converter in them?
Does this information also apply to the 2017's. I don't want performance upgrade but I definitely want temperature reduction...originally I was going to just change mufflers until parts kid told me the cat was in the headers. Someone else came back and told me he was confusing my heritage with the touring exhausts (it happens alot apparently when people talk to me). Any info would be appreciated....
Leave the new head pipes on. They have better connections at the crossover tubes to the head pipes. i think the change was 2010 or 11 where they added clamps.
Change the mufflers....2007 and up will fit. I have the slipons from my 2007 on my 2016 Heritage.
